Don't Be Fooled...

by these sweet innocent faces

Don't be distracted by the fact that yes, for the first time ever they have on their cute new big girl pjs (thanks Granny Margaret)...

Don't even worry about her b/c in this shot she was preparing to jump off the couch and I had to drop my camera to catch her...

Why??? You ask...b/c these girls are NASTY!!   I have cleaned poop out of the tub three times over the last 2 weeks...yes POOP.  I don't recall signing up for this part...I got the girls in the tub earlier this evening and I just walked away for a sec to get a towel out of the linen closet just right outside of their bathroom...then I heard it...a loud poot...and what was I greeted with when I returned to their side...floating turtles...yes AGAIN!  I dragged them out of the tub, and I put them on the floor unsure of exactly what to do.  I had two wet babies crawling around the bathroom floor and eventually wiped both of their bums, b/c the truth is...I'm still not sure who it was.  I suspected it was Nia so I put her in the sink and got her cleaned up while Nala played on the floor pulling out all of her big sissy's hair bows and elastics.  I turned around to take Nia to the living room to get her dried off and what did I find on the floor????  Yep, you guessed it...Nala had three turtles on their bathroom floor.  This time I knew it was her...at this point, I was frustrated.  Yes, I admit it...it was very frustrating!!  I'm really tired of all the poop...Mom...I think I'm ready for that potty seat now!  :)

Ok...they are pretty cute...I can't stay mad...

Look at my big girls! (with their nasty tails)

Digital I - Final Assignment

Last night I had my last class for my Digital I class. The below  pictures represent a portion of the pictures that I presented as part of my final assignment. All of the pictures were taken manually and as a life long auto photogapher - I am proud of that! I know I have sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sooooooo much to learn, but it feels good to have gotten to know my camera a bit better over the last six weeks. I plan to sign up for the next session.

Assignment :  Flower
Toliver Mom's Lens Capture
Dog wood blossoms at The Garden Center in Tulsa, Ok
I love these little blooms - they were featured on my wedding cake  :)

Assignment:  Train
Toliver Mom's Lens Capture

Assigment:  Statue
Toliver Mom's Lens Capture -
One of the dancing statues on the grounds of the Tulsa Historical Society/Garden Center grounds.  I hate I cut her fingers off, but I like the pic anyway.

Happy Easter

Easter was a very relaxing day.  It was BEAUTIFUL outside.  We went to church in the a.m. for 9 and were home by 10:45 giving us the whole day virtually to relax and enjoy eachother.  What was nice was that the girls got to spend some time with some of their out of town visitors (family visiting from Dallas), all of us got naps except for MacKenzie (her choice), and we celebrated the fact that JESUS Rose!  He lives!!

Happy Easter

New Phone - HTC -HD2

For the last couple of weeks, I've been struggling.  My cell phone crapped out on me.  I think the culprit is none other than Nala Toliver.  She has a thing with phones - juicing them up...my existing phone - The Samsung Behold that I've had since November 2008 served me well until just a few weeks ago.  The charges began lasting for shorter durations.  And then about two weeks ago, I found that I could not get it to charge at all.  Kt and MacKenzie found if the phone was held a certain way, you could get it to charge.  This is not something I have time for though... I went to TMobile and they found that the charger port was garbage...thanks Nala.

At any rate, my husband had a WONDERFUL surprise for me when I got home today...

check it out...

Yep, I know...he's pretty amazing!  I'd told him that the guy at the TMobile Store had shown me this cool new phone, with amazing new texting functions, some pretty neat apps, and Mobi TV.  I'm so excited to get to know my now favorite new gadget...it's a huge step up from my old phone...

School Birthday Party

On Friday, the girls celebrated their upcoming (at the time) birthday at their Mother's Day Out Program. It was a fun little party and precursor for their birthday the following day...here are a few snap shots I took. Of course, I'm not your typical or organized kinda mama so instead of cake or even cupcakes - we made do with iced sugar cookies and popsicles...my girls loved it. Nia was so slow and dainty eating her cookie...but she got it down. Nala was much quicker...she is a professional popscicle sucker. I love the face that Nia makes everytime she gets a hint of the cold. Nala opted to dip her popscicle in her cookie crumbs at one point and then lick away...yep, very gross, but that's my girl!

They didn't want to go home.  They had such a good time.  Kt tells me that this happens often...how blessed we are to have found a place where our girls are happy...we love Boston Avenue Weekday School!

Spring Break - It's Over Now...

Spring Break is over now so it's back to life/work/school as usual.  I feel blessed that I was able to be off to spend some quality time with the girls...especially MacKenzie.  My favorite part of this week was having Mommy Daughter Day with her on Monday.  We definitely have to make time to do it again soon.  We had  a blast.  We chuckled over how carefree life was when it was just the three of us...how we could just come and go as we wanted...and didn't have to plan a trip to the grocery store like it was a huge affair... my how times have changed!

Some pics from Mommy-Daughter Time are below.  We had lunch at one of her favs (IHOP), got pedicures at a new Nail Spa near our house (loved it...we'll be back!), Went Shopping, & Had a Movie Night.   Oh and just for fun...we found a random spot and took some fun pictures :)  What a blast!  The day was full and so is my heart...I love my MacKie!!

Friday Firsts - First Venture to the Park

Today it is snowing outside and freezing cold...on Friday it was REALLY nice and NiNa had their fist venture to the park.  They really enjoyed being outside...snuck a tator tot or two from MacKenzie and also ate a little bit of grass...as hard we worked to stop them...

I am so glad I took off from work and was able to enjoy the day with them!
