Spring Break - It's Over Now...

Spring Break is over now so it's back to life/work/school as usual.  I feel blessed that I was able to be off to spend some quality time with the girls...especially MacKenzie.  My favorite part of this week was having Mommy Daughter Day with her on Monday.  We definitely have to make time to do it again soon.  We had  a blast.  We chuckled over how carefree life was when it was just the three of us...how we could just come and go as we wanted...and didn't have to plan a trip to the grocery store like it was a huge affair... my how times have changed!

Some pics from Mommy-Daughter Time are below.  We had lunch at one of her favs (IHOP), got pedicures at a new Nail Spa near our house (loved it...we'll be back!), Went Shopping, & Had a Movie Night.   Oh and just for fun...we found a random spot and took some fun pictures :)  What a blast!  The day was full and so is my heart...I love my MacKie!!

Friday Firsts - First Venture to the Park

Today it is snowing outside and freezing cold...on Friday it was REALLY nice and NiNa had their fist venture to the park.  They really enjoyed being outside...snuck a tator tot or two from MacKenzie and also ate a little bit of grass...as hard we worked to stop them...

I am so glad I took off from work and was able to enjoy the day with them!

5 Random Bits about Toliver Dad - as revealed by Toliver Mom Part I

A few weeks ago I revealed 5 random facts about me, Toliver Mom.  I think I'll do a similar post for the rest of the clan...starting with my hubby! I should preface, he would never ever want to be the focus of Blog Post :)

1)  He's got major guns any way you look at it...he's a cop so pretty much has a gun on him at all times and have you seen his arms...yes...MAJOR guns.

2)  He loves the Toliver Girls.  I don't think there is a man in the world that loves his girl(s) more than Toliver Dad.  I have three very lucky girls.  Their daddy would do anything in the world for them!

3)  He's an OU (University of Oklahoma ) grad like myself but LOVES everything TEXAS (he's from Dallas) including UT (University of Texas) - blasphemous here in Sooner country

4) He's a hardworker...in fact, he NEVER stops working really.  Some might think it's because of #2, but to the tell truth, he's been working hard since I met him - really before that.  He works full time, takes care of the girls at home on his own on his off days, and picks up our big girl from school EVERY day and escorts her to her various afterschool activities including gymnastics, piano, and Kumon...all this and handles quite a bit of the housework...and is willing to wake up to get the twins in the middle of the night when they awaken...

5) Perhaps b/c of #4...he can fall asleep ANYWHERE.

Beautiful Sunday and Baby Dedication

Nana let Nala chew on Nia's bible....

My crazy husband opted to ruin our family photo...

I'm so grateful that my parents and friends were able to join us...it warms my heart :)

Go MacKie Go!

MacKenzie broke her wrist a few days before Christmas ruining a good percentage of her gymnastics season.  A couple of weeks ago, the team competed in Oklahoma City at the Nadia Invitational one of the most exciting meets of the season.  It's not every day that you get to meet a World-Class Olympian...or so I've been told :) Unfortunately, her coaches didn't feel like she was ready to compete.  She was very disappointed and broke down in tears when she got home (very hard on a mommy!).  Well on Saturday, she was back!!!  She was very excited to get to compete again.  After several weeks out, she came back and placed 4th overall including a 1st place position on the beam at the ConocoPhillips meet in Bartlesville :)  As to be expected, her bar routine was her weakest event, but hopefully as she continues to workout she will get stronger.

It was an exciting day for her...

Here are some pictures - not the greatest...kinda hard to take pics when we have babies with us :)

Unfortunately at lunch on the way back, Nia had an explosive diaper.  Yes, poop was everywhere!  She came in a cute little cardigan, tank, and jeans...and left in...well...a cardigan and diaper.

Note to self #1:   Never again leave town without a change of clothes...
Note to self #2:   Never again judge a parent of a baby/toddler sporting just a diaper...you never know... :)

And you'd think I would have learned Note #1...but we later went to dinner with friends...She did it again...luckily on a smaller scale...but we left in this outfit that I never would have otherwise put together...

And just b/c she's adorable...here is a picture of my niece and her godpop.  Isn't she adorable??

Yet another full day :)

Friday Night Live

Spring may finally be on the way.  It was a beautiful day outside!  When I got home from work, I fed the girls and we went outside for a few minutes.  They were pretty curious about the surroundings and Nia cried a bit.  I'm very much ready for spring...so tired of being stuck inside!

As usual...moods were all over the place...

Nia hit a Mariah Carey high note here...

And then, somehow calmed down enough to give me a bit of a smile

We left home to go get Big Sis from her Girl Scout Cookie Booth Sales

And then, We Went to Eat

a full day....

omg!

My babies are 11 months today.  This is the final month of their first year.  That blows my mind...I'll have to remember to do their 11 month pics and update on where they are at.  I just realized that today was the day when MacKenzie brought it to my attention...

Wow!! 11 months...
